Soul Bait Ministries...equipping, healing, planting
I got to have what I consider to be a dream of an experience. We held a baptismal service
in the Jordan River.  We could have gone to many of the public sites for baptism, but we
decided to drive along the banks of the Jordan and find an opening to do the baptism
ourselves. The Jordan River is a really unique river, because it’s only about 40 feet wide
and it has large rocks in the middle of it, and the drop-off is very steep. So just getting
down to the river was a challenge. But as one of the teammates pointed out to me, this
was a very surreal place… keeping in mind that this is where Jesus got baptized. So as
we went down into the river, God’s anointing was so strong that when people actually got
in the river they would start to shake and fall-out in the Spirit before they even got
baptized. There were so many good things that happened in that river. Everybody that
was there got very blessed. It’s one of those times in life that you actually are feeling like
you’re following the commandment of Jesus.
As we started baptizing people, we baptized everybody on the team that went to Israel.
Each one of them had their own unique encounter with God in the river. It was only at the
end that the Lord told me to look up. As I looked up, I felt like I was looking through the
eyes of John the Baptist. I saw all the people sitting on the rocks along the shoulder of the
bank, and I could imagine John baptizing the people, then all of a sudden his cousin
breaks through the crowd. It was at that place that God announced who Jesus was. It was
in that place that God said, “This is my beloved son.” So, when we baptized there,
because everybody had already been baptized as John had baptized, we baptized
people into their callings.
While I was in the water, I asked my wife to hand me the camera. My favorite picture of the
whole trip is everybody sitting on the riverbank. Granted, they’re all in modern swimsuits.
But at the same time, seeing what I saw was a flashback in history, and I got the privilege
of seeing what John the Baptist saw. For that, I will always be grateful.

Thank you to all who helped sponsor people to go on this trip. The resources that you
sowed will bring unquestionable fruit in all the people’s lives that went, including mine.  I
pray you seek out all the people that went on the trip and ask them their stories. Because
just like there’s no two grains of sand the same, there will be no story about this trip the
same. God touched everybody in their own unique way.

Thank you! God bless you!
